I was hunting in January on a hot and windy day. The wind was out of the wrong direction for my hunting location. As I got settled in to my shooting house I sprayed Majik Passion Estrus out the window to cover my scent that was being blown into the bedding area. Wasps started dive bombing me in the shooting house. I grabbed a can of wasp spray and started killing them. Spraying all four walls and the ceiling of the shooting house. I soon realized I just hurt my chances for any deer coming into the area because of the smell of the wasp spray. The wind was blowing east to west and the bedding area was to my west. Approximately 10 min later an 11 Pt whitetail buck appeared to my west at thirty yards. He began hooking trees and testing the wind trying to find the estrus doe. I let him enter the clearing and took the shot. He made it 20 yards down a slope in a dried up creek bed. He was a 11pt buck that weighed 208 pounds. Great Greene county AL buck.
